You know the lists. The ones that give you the top X things you should or should never do.
Somewhere I read a no-no was for shorties like me to wear cropped pants as regular length.
Hmmm ... well ... I did here and have for months committed this glamour don't. Intentionally.
And I'm old enough to say I don't care like a six year old.
Speaking of a child, the sweater is the Crewcuts snowdrop popover. Can you see that the polka dots are fuzzy? Details like that make me happy.
Worn with the perfect shirt in indigo floral, the café capri in wool (on sale now for a fabulous price) and the always fantastic Penelope mary janes.
What fashion faux pas do you make on purpose?
Haha, I do the same! Yay for short legs:)
ReplyDeleteOh and I could kick myself for not getting those Penelope mary janes when I had the chance...I have the flat version but yours are way prettier.
There are some advantages to being petite! ;)
DeleteSorry you missed the Penelope mary janes. I'll have to say I wear them most from my JC shoes collection. And they always get compliments. Maybe you can find some one of these days ...
So cute...I love the fuzzy polka-dots! Little details like that make me all warm and fuzzy inside too! :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks My4Boys! I'm easily amused and want to pet those fuzzy spots they're so soft. :D
DeleteSuch a cute outfit! I bought 4 colors of the cafe capris in tall so that I can wear them ankle length like you are. I think they're very flattering this way, plus the length shows off your shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks and I agree it works to show off shoes! I like the length, it's so nice to not have to put off wearing because you have to get something shortened or wish them longer.
DeleteI have never heard that fashion rule but I'm not petite so I couldn't do it anyway. I can't see anything wrong with it either. I was raised with strict fashion rules so I'm afraid to break them lest my mother find out!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is really cute, the whole outfit looks great.
It took me a long time to break some of my mom's fashion rules. But I learned a lot from her and she had great style, dressed very much like Jackie O.
DeleteThanks and thanks for visiting!!
I'm vertically challenged myself and never paid attention to "fashion rules". My Mom would tell me wear whatever you want and feel comfortable in, that's one of the things that makes us individuals.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit.
Haha, yes, vertically challenged! Your mom had some good advice, feeling comfortable and confident is more than half the battle of looking good. And wouldn't it be boring if we all dressed exactly following the fashion rules?
DeleteThanks and thanks for coming by. :)
Tiffany rose- I think you look darling and fashion is about defying the rules anyway.:)I am so jealous you can wear Crewcuts I 'd love that sweater, so cozy.
ReplyDeleteThanka, Slastena! I agree, there are rules you can break or bend to suit you. I'm lucky to be able to wear some Crewcuts, they have some cute things that an adult can get away with wearing. Thanks so much for dropping by. :)
