Stand back, the bag is about to be opened! I'm intrigued to see more of your packing tips. I've shoved a few down jackets and coats in the outside pocket of my suitcase, it's amazing how small they can get.
My dad was amazed it was a full coat smashed down little (ha, just noticed the pun). Down things are so good for keeping warm, taking very little space and weight.
I'll pass on a few more things that I hope will be helpful ... my objectives is a lot of flexibility with the fewest number of items and not having a wrinkled mess needing to be ironed.
You ARE a packing ninja! Just here from a link off Gigi's--clearly I have been missing out. Fab reviews; I just read like eight of them in a row. And thanks to you, I've got so many why-didn't-I-see-that-earlier regrets now! :)
Can't wait to hear how you managed to get that puffer down to size. Which compression bag thingy are you using? Whatever it is it's MAGIC.
Hi magpie! Welcome and I hope you'll visit often. :)
I don't remember which vacuum bag this is, it came with a bunch of other sizes in a package deal (ha!) some years ago but I think most of them work well enough for this purpose. I just folded the hood downward, then folded the coat into quarters and stuffed it into the bag. When you roll out the air, it gets flat to easily go into a suitcase taking up very little room and hardly any added weight.
Love, love bothpieces and the combo on you! I nominated you for a Liebster Award :) here:http://lifesdivine.blogspot.com/2013/03/awar-time-liebster.html! Xoxo
rofl I'm all ears.
ReplyDeleteHi gigi.

Great pose - keep forgetting about my matching leggings!!!

I love the sweater for the legs, I can live in them all winter. We'll see what I come up with next. ;)

DeleteWOW teach me your secrets!!! I've only heard about rolling your clothes before packing...which helps to a certain extent.

ReplyDeleteThe bags are great for taking your own pillow, if you don't like hotel pillows. ;)
Deletecan't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteWFF - I'll try to pull out a few more tricks.
DeleteThose TOTALLY go together and you are the mistress of the packing!
ReplyDeleteThese two things were a surprise get-together. I do think I have a few good packing pointers.
DeleteIs it wrong that I totally love that outfit? Imagine it with some big boots - snow bunny!
ReplyDeleteI see that, Lisa. And as goofy as it was, I love that outfit too.

And...I have no idea why it just published as "n" because that is definitely not right. Oopsies.
