Yes I Did

In my defense, it was casual Friday.
In addition, it was hot, I was tired and didn't feel like going to work.
Plus, look what they're showing on the red carpet, is that a pseudo briefcase clutch to suggest a look for the workplace?
And looky here:
And here:
So it wasn't too big of a leap to get here:
Can you imagine this with the furry slipper stilettos xoxo found?
Jody did a lot better, see here.
But my PJ bottoms won't get farther than the mailbox.
And only if quick and no one else is around.

Is that matching motorcycle helmet and loafers
I see the blond wearing with her jammies?

Like Jody, I thought I wouldn't contribute to the PJs as daywear trend. But now it feels like I've just participated in "the wave" at a game.
(Don't like it, especially during a baseball game. How distracting to the players and
how can one watch the game if watching that going around?)

Would you or wouldn't you?

    1. Nobody said anything. But everybody is pretty used to me being a little out there ... or maybe more than a little.

  2. I think you just look a picture of casual loveliness, I don't think anyone would blink twice.

    1. Thanks, Tabs. They don't even blink twice when I wear trousers with sequins to work.

  3. I think your look is really nice and doesn't scream "bedroom! pajamas!" The secret is fit - you look tailored, not droopy.

    1. I wouldn't want to scream I'm wearing my PJs. The fabric is exactly the same as the button down shirt and I was surprised how trim they are, definitely not floppy pajamas.

  4. In California, the pj is really "in", so I think this looks lovely. I remember thay during finals in college people spent the night at the library so many pillows and pj pants were in circulation. Honestly, it looks like a shirt and a comfy one at that!

    1. Thanks, P! Figured it was close enough to the short sleeve shirt shown above so why not.

  6. I couldn't wear this to work since we don't have any casual days. If I could, I would!!

    1. That's too bad, Desert Flower. There are days I can't bring myself to do more than casual.

  7. No you didn't. Say it ain't so. Not a fan of the pj look...sometimes I mistake them for the ol bowling shirt.

    1. I really did, BB. And husby said I looked like a nurse. Men.

  8. Tiffany Rose, you have company up north. I have worn mine (got the set for $20 with one of those JC sale days) tucked, with skinny jeans and ballet slippers, only to the post box and across the street for milk. But one of my neighbours actually said "pretty blouse," and not in a snide way.
Have a great new week (smoking slippers next?)

    1. Oh goody, GetFresh. Tucked into skinny jeans with ballet slippers sound really cute, I'm sure the compliment was sincere. Maybe not slippers but I wore a robe to work once.

  9. Cute outfit! I would not have thought it was a pyjama top unless you had said so!

    1. Thanks, Louise, but I probably won't do it again, at least not with this top. :)

  11. I can see the top working, especially with the short sleeves and floral print. It's not obvious at first glance. The full-on pajama set is a bit much IMO. But then, I can't believe people wear yoga clothing and sweats out of the house either.

    1. Think it was my kind of subtle way of saying I rather be home in my PJs but there's no way I'd don the full-on pajama set beyond my patio.

  12. I totally wanted that first J.Crew top you have shown but the trim made me think it was too western - I wasn't bothered by the PJ-ness. Shoot, let's get comfy!

    1. I only did it because it didn't broadcast PJ-ness. And I was a little cranky, which made being comfy a priority. :)

  13. Ha ha!! Hilarious - and thanks for the linky love! I think you look tres chic in the top - and I personally love that Louis Vuitton version - a la Sophia Coppola. (sp?) And even Paris Hilton looked quite fab in that new $3,000 version of PJs for daytime in Elle magazine, though maybe I should not have mentioned her...

  14. Hi Jody! The fancy jammies are no bargain are they? I had no idea I clipped LV. And here I am thinking how clever/frugal of me to have dual purpose clothing not knowing $3,000 PJs were possible.
