Chie Cha-Ching

So these are actually the first pair of Chies I own,
though I told you about those first.
I can't believe I actually have two pairs since I thought Chie Mihara
shoes are priced way beyond what I'm willing to pay.
But! I found shoescribe.com and these babies were mine.
Hint: I'm a straight to the sale section kind of shopper.
Here's what's shocking: The heels are 3.25" but I thought
"tradeshow shoes" the first time I put them on.
My wide forefoot had plenty of room, my toes were happy.

After wearing them an entire workday to be certain,
I wore them to work a conference.
If you have ever staffed a tradeshow (as opposed to attending a conference),
you know that's the true test for whether shoes are comfortable.

I was on my feet for probably 12 of 14 hours one day.
Walking up and down stairs, going from one end of the show floor to the
next exhibit hall to the next, coordinating with TV crews and reporters,
attending a meeting and a reception and ...

At the end of the evening, I did not want to rip the shoes off.
Oh I was tired and my feet were just a touch sore, but I did not feel like
cutting my feet off as I have thought with other shoes.
I love these and they lived up to my initial expectation.

As for the outfit ... I know some of you are thinking
attire for when the leaves turn and the temps are cooler.
Well, our leaves fell; big clumps of pine needles rained down my office windows yesterday. But it wasn't due to a chill in the air.
It was HOT. Likely the hottest day of the year. And still scorching today;
it is 5:45 p.m. and 97 degrees outside.

How goes your summer?

  1. Hi Tiffany Rose - beautiful shoes and outfit!

It was hot here Thursday and Friday, but we had a big storm last night and fall is truly here - the temperature is down to 43 F (6.5 for me in celcius!) this morning! I have not heard of this website - must check it out! I would love a pair of chies - I know Dani swears by hers!

    1. Hi WMM! How I'd love some cooler temps, it's still near the 90s here. I love my chies ... instead of being squished into shoes, my toes have plenty of wiggle room in them.

  2. I love your shoes! They are so pretty and your whole outfit is just perfectly polished.
Isn't that incredible that you were able to wear them for so long without your feet killing. It is that cushiony leather lining, it's terrific!
It's cooled down here now too, it really feels like fall.

    1. Hi Dani! You've been a big reason I've vowed to try Chies. There's nothing like nice leather uppers and lining. I think the wide footbed has a lot to do with why your feet don't get as tired. I'm envious of your change in weather, we still have the AC going strong.

  3. Jeepers, I bought a long sleeved thermal vest today! I had to laugh at "trade show shoes' oh I have to be in absolute flats to do them now, that is the shoe challenge if ever there was one.

    1. Hi Tabitha! I've purchased a few things for fall but I'm afraid it will be at least weeks before I can wear them. One of these days I'm going to get one of those gadgets that keep track of the distance walked at a tradeshow. These are more comfortable by far than some flats I've worn!

    1. Hi Lisa! It didn't take too much thinking to come up with the top with I spotted (ha!) the dots and the colors of the shoes. ;)

    2. I meant "when I spotted" not "with I spotted" that didn't make sense, oops.

  5. Elegant - I adore camel and white together - and "tradeshow" friendly - you've hit the jackpot. I've never staffed a tradeshow but I attended a couple in NY with friends and it is tough on the tootsies!

    1. Hi Jody! The shoes are definitely tradeshow friendly and I'd never imagine so for heels higher than 2 inches. Unfortunately, my work is such that I'm not at the booth but mostly running around from place to place. Some tradeshows are in places with marble flooring between exhibit areas and oh goodness, very, very hard on your feet!

  6. I adore Chies. I have a wide foot so they are more comfortable than most. The white and taupe is so chic and with polka dots. I'm drooling. Dots on the top, dots on the bottom, makes the "eye" circle around your outfit and notice your fabulousness!

    1. You and me with the wide feet loving the Chies! And I've found the dotted shoes working like a neutral with so many other things.

Thanks so much for visiting, A Well Styled Life!
