Maybe I'm Colorblind

Maybe I'm the only one ...

Won't you help me to understand?*

  1. No help from me, I'm afraid. No idea on what planet those colours could be considered the same... Lunacy!
J Crew are really pushing the realms of reality with this.
However, I do enjoy carrying my jacket on my head. Might try this look when I go to my PM&D next week

    1. Hi ruth! I squinted at this for a long time trying to see the point of the tip. Carrying the jacket on one's head is over the top (as gigi says, slaps knee).

  2. I am going to take up wearing my jacket this way, too! Hmm like colours??? On Planet Gayle, which I think is a neon coloured planet where colours are stacked on each, not sitting side by side on the colour wheel! Good lord! Gayle issue or CFSpace issue????

    1. Haha Wendy! You could totally rock your new fatigue jacket on your head!

    2. Hi WMM. It's out of this world some of their concepts. Someday, when we all meet up, carrying jackets on our heads could be our signal we're in the club instead of carrying a rose in our teeth.

  3. I have to say,i love the combination, even though they are not really "like" colors.
They probably meant the green family with "like colors"?

    1. Hi ina. The combo is interesting and can't say about the like colors but I can see you rocking this look. :)

  4. Maybe there's some yellow in those shorts that isn't reading in the photo? I really like the top with the shorts (would never ever wear shorts that short though) but don't get it with the shoes. Top + shorts = eclectic...Top + shorts + shoes = Grey Gardens. IMO.

    1. Hi Danielle. You're probably right about some yellow in the shorts. And I agree with you about the short shorts and the third item being too much. :)

  5. HAHA! This is funny, thanks for sharing. The shoes look awful with that outfit, too!

  6. The green/yellow thing is analogous (on the color wheel) which are colors adjacent to each other. The rule is to wear at least 2 but no more than 5 colors next to each other. I think that is where they were going with this. Also, J Crew (Jenna Lyons) has always considered leopard to be a neutral, so with that said, neutrals go with anything....right?? Not sure I could personally pull this look off however without feeling a little silly.

    1. Very insightful, kimberlykotsiras, I think you are exactly right about all this. Though I also consider leopard to be a neutral, it doesn't always work depending how "loud" the particular leopard print.

I'm with you on trying to pull off this look. Husby would certainly ask "You're not seriously going to go out of the house like that, are you?" ;)

  7. Hi Anon. Thanks though you're probably humoring me and say that to all the bloggers ;) but yes, I made this vanilla site myself using probably the most basic template from Blogger. Glad you like it.

    1. If you are young and cute with long legs you can get away with just about anything.

A college student at the salvo, lol.

  9. I'd help you if I could, but I dislike yellow and green together in clothing items.

  13. Animal print, stripes and neon should all be treated like neutrals so this outfit is really all the same color and pattern, can't you see?! ;o)

  14. Those shorts...So bright. I want to look away but can't.

I didn't even notice the leopard print shoes, so they must be right :)
