Good thing the business events are with completely different people
and not following days. I hope I don't get too warm or cold but think
I've planned some nice options. Hmm ... only a single pair of shoes
and my unfashionable but super warm and cozy uggs. I know the heels
are trusty comfortable but maybe I'll take a second pair. Just in case.
You never know, somebody could drop something gooey all over them.
That would be awful. I love, love, love these shoes.

This is cool how polyvore publishes.
It makes my packing list easy, easy.

Three Days in Fort Worth

No matter how hot it is where I'll be going, I'll always take my Luminosa puffer (aka my life jacket), a thin wool thermal tee and a scarf. You never know if they'll crank up the AC while you're stuck in that meeting room for hours.

My flight lands at 4:01 and the event is at 5:00. I will not have time to check into my hotel and change. Must hope my flight is reasonably on time and take a taxi straight there from the airport. This is what I'm planning: calf hair valentinas for the two-tone ballet flats, dark star popover for the travel trench, minaudière for the luggage. I may need to keep the scarf on if the place is cool. I'll have the shoes, clutch and popover in my carry-on bag. I think this will work. It has to.

Unexpected business trip. I'll be back mid-week ...

Husby calls this unhappy trails because he doesn't want me to go on my trip. I'll be away for 8 days: 5 days on business and 3 days to visit my dad. Seeing my dad will be the best part!

Encore Trench

Count me as another who lusted after the Encore Trench since its release, especially after seeing Burbon & Pearls photos. I just got mine and LOVES it too! I usually wear 0P or 00, and although the size 0 Icon Trench fits well, ordered a size 00 Encore Trench. I've only had time to try it on quickly and vaguely remember the length is good, just covering my knees (I'm 5'2"). It's a graceful length that works with the fullness of the skirt. I don't care if the color is good for me or not, whatever wrongs will be more than made up by the confidence I'll carry when wearing something you know looks great and makes you feel pretty. Like others, I love how this classic tailored coat has the lovely twist of the feminine full skirt and sweet surprise of the tulle underskirt. It's almost like wearing sexy underwear (kinda almost). One tiny bother: the pockets have to be unbuttoned for use. One tiny concern: wonder if the tulle skirt will pill a knit dress ...
