October Onomatopoeia

Wearing black and orange as a nod to Oct. 31.
The fuzziness (unintentionally captured by my blog photographer) is a tip of the hat to phantoms, spectres and wraiths.
Collection jacket. Factory jeans.
Boys' long-sleeve kaboom tee
Crewcuts boys' kaboom T-shirt from 2 years ago (I'm wearing size 14).

This is how I do high-low fashion, ha.

Boo, almost forgot the word of the day.

    1. Thanks, gigi. I'm really loving the lace-up shoes lately and I've always thought the cartoon corniness kinda cool. :)

  2. That tee is like the latest cartoon word design Tom Ford did!

  3. What a fun tee! I do enjoy perusing crewcuts for cute knits because size-wise I can mostly pull them off.

    1. Thanks, penny! It's the 769 Madison Ave Collection Tuxedo Jacket (not current). This one is a size up from my usual, I couldn't find my size, but it is so well made I couldn't resist.

  5. Great title.

I'd love to be this thoughtful about my outfits. I was working the Hallowe'en night shift in the ED this year (surrounded by patients in truly scary/awful fancy dress and facepaint, mostly presenting with broken bones and cuts and scrapes after falling over or fighting) so I wore my standard to- and fro-work outfit of jeans, boots, a sweater, scarf, and my Liberty-print Barbour* - and the usual scrubs for my shift. I love rituals and celebrations and really like the idea of subtly celebratory outfits, but always worry I'll look silly or like I've tried too hard. (The most effort I usually make is wearing my little book earrings on National Book Day! I'm not sure anyone even notices). Your understated acknowledgement is exemplary.

    1. Thanks, Philippa! Glad you like my word choice.

Your Halloween was definitely scarier than what most of us experience. More power to you.

That's funny, I'll wear little touches like you and it's like an inside joke with myself since hardly anyone else would notice. I once wore different heart pins each day in February leading up to Valentine's Day. The little book earrings would be something I'd do, they sound adorable.

Your standard to and fro work outfit is exactly my comfort zone and your Liberty print Barbour is wonderful! Love it.
