Shoe Shew

It’s not my intent to enable. But if any of you are in *need* of a pair of ankle boots, ballet flats, espadrilles, flip flops, high tops, low tops, moccasins or mules, pumps, sandals or slippers, may I recommend where I’ll likely buy all my shoes for the rest of my life: yoox.com. It’s an Italian online shopping site with offices and operations in the United States, Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong. yoox.com ships to 100+ countries and offers free shipping on orders of $150+.

DODO' LE PARISIENNE
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
In addition to fashion, yoox offers home furnishings/accessories, gifts and art but I’m stuck on the shoes. It’s a little sad to expose my shallow soul as almost every pair of shoes I’ve received from the splendid source has made me deliriously happy (such as the purple brogues above or the four pairs below).
INK
now sold out, sorry!
HUNTER
now sold out, sorry!
GIORGIO ARMANI

DANIELE ANCARANI
now sold out, sorry!
Most are Italian of delicious leather and lovely workmanship. I haven’t returned much and from a couple experiences, I’d vouch that “returns are fast and easy and customer care is best-in-class.” Though you only have 20 days to make your returns so you can't dither for too long.
PRETTY NANÃ
these are fun

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA 22
these are weird

JOHN BAKERY
DUCCIO VENTURI BOTTIER

PATRIZIA PEPE
now in size 8 only but only $69 before the discount!
From now until March 31, you get another 10% off on fashion (and that means shoes too!) by using WINTERSPRING10 in the yooxcode box when checking out. Plus, ebates is offering 9% right now for yoox.com!
MARC JACOBS
I think I can understand how Imelda ended up with all her shoes.

Shoe-sketch and Sequins

They used to call me Imelda.
Someone put up a framed print of
racks of shoes right outside my office.
Of course I had to have the shoe-sketch scarf.
It's loosely woven of 62% wool and 38% silk.
Lovely and light. Good for all seasons.
A nice neutral to wear with just about anything.
Girly, girly and cute, cute, cute for shoe lovers.
(They must know there are a zillion of us because with it on promo price
and an extra percentage off, it's still not sold out yet.)
But prone to snags.
So as another bit of advice following this and that,
put it in a bag or wrap a T-shirt around it if packing.
Otherwise the suitcase zipper might catch it
as I did my navy polka-dot scarf. :(
I knew stuffing the scarf unprotected was dangerous.
But I was in a huge hurry.
In my hotel room packing at 3 when I had a 3:40 flight.

Eek!

MIW: Inspired by Looks We Love

So cute! But! I don't have the coat and I don't wear minis ...

Over the weekend, I figured how a few things from my closet can come together for a resemblance. And since it was projected to dip below 60°F for our daily high and since I'm a big wimp when it comes to cold temps, today was the day for this look.

It was a little drizzly and not the best day for a white skirt but I was determined to wear it. Because it's not everyday I'm prepared with all the pieces for an outfit. Especially a skirt outfit. Especially on a Monday.

The little bit of spitting from the sky did no damage to the sturdy double-serge wool. If I had black boots of similar proportions, I'd have worn them. But maybe this makes things more interesting. At least that's what I told myself.

All I know is I loved how warm and cozy I was all day.

And isn't husby getting a lot better at being my blog photographer?!
